You may have a simple understanding of the functions of the smart metering socket. It seems that it is to remotely control the socket on and off and check the power consumption through WiFi. It is very helpful for you to check the use of electrical appliances in advance or remotely. It seems that this is only the case.

 

In fact, it still stays in the function of smart socket, and does not give full play to the metering function. If we only look at the power consumption, the electricity meter can completely replace this function. Especially, many enterprises now install smart electricity meters, and energy enterprises fully grasp the basic power consumption law of enterprises to reasonably distribute power and avoid power waste.

 

In order to give full play to metering, it can not only monitor current, voltage, power, power frequency, harmonic distortion and other specific conditions in real time, but also monitor abnormal protection based on real-time monitoring data, including power protection, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature and other abnormal conditions. To achieve real-time monitoring of the status of electrical appliances and improve the efficiency of equipment use.

The more important function is inseparable from big data. By analyzing historical power consumption and combining other production, financial and procurement data, we can better understand the output status of the equipment. It is shown in the following points:

1.     By comparing the historical data of this equipment with the power consumption of other similar equipment, we can know the operation status of this equipment, whether it consumes more power than other equipment and whether it needs maintenance;

2.     If these data are compared with the financial and output data, we can know the power consumption and output of the unit. We should consider whether the equipment is faulty or whether the on-site operation personnel need training;

3.     Provide data support for purchasing new equipment, provide data support for aging and obsolescence of equipment, and provide basis for the standard of purchasing new equipment.

 

If enterprises use smart metering sockets and smart meters on a large scale, the following data will also be provided for enterprise energy saving:

    1.     Power consumption measurement and power quality status monitoring for distributed power consumption nodes;

    2.     Comprehensive evaluation of various indexes of electric energy and analysis of the causes of electric energy pollution;

The smart metering socket produced by ALM-sound is a dual-mode chip of WiFi + Bluetooth. It supports remote TCP query response, HTTP active data upload mode, and local interoperability. It can be used normally in case of network disconnection or network congestion.

It can also realize positioning (such as AOA positioning) that is suitable for the special environment with high installation space of the positioning base station but requires high position or direction angle accuracy.

 

In short, the power consumption of the equipment can be monitored in real time through the ALM-sound intelligent metering socket, and the output and operation of the equipment can be analyzed by using big data. Through the WiFi + Bluetooth mode, the data upload and download can be supported, and the group control linkage with other equipment can be realized. The positioning function of Bluetooth can also be used for asset management.
